Send me a link to your blog!
I was thinking it would be neat to have links to our family and friends' blogs on ours. If you've got a blog (and I know some of you do!), email me (marjenr@bethel.edu) the link and I'll start listing them on our blog's side bar. I would love to be able to keep up-to-date with what your family is up to!
Thanks!

blessed beyond belief
I'm sitting here on the couch now, as Camille is taking a nap upstairs. I feel as if I've been covered in spit-up for the past 18 hours! I don't know what her deal is, but she's been constantly spitting up since yesterday evening. I'm on my fourth load of laundry since then, and I still have to wash our sheets :) But as disgusting it is and as putrid as it smells I realize that I am SO HAPPY to be a MOM! I'm just completely in amazement that I fall more in love with Camille every single day. And in turn, I fall more in love with Aaron every single day! Who am I that God has BLESSED me in such a wonderful way?! Sometimes, when I look at Camille or Aaron, I feel my heart begin to swell. And I hear God whisper to me, "See how much I love you?" All I have to do is see their sweet smiles, or just look into their eyes, and I can feel God's love pouring out onto me! And instantly the smell of spit-up vanishes :) It's such a thrilling feeling knowing I was created to be a mom and a wife! And I pray that I can be a little window of God's love for Camille and Aaron, too.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. It's been really hot here, so we just stayed in all day and enjoyed the air conditioning. Today we met Aaron at work and had lunch with him, and tonight we're going to Lockheed Martin's summer picnic (I'm hoping it's inside!).
Stay cool!

Renaissance Man?
Many of you know that Aaron is a man of many talents, but did you know he could SEW!? That's right, Aaron spent most of the day sewing a baby carrier. I had seen one online that I liked but it cost almost $100. We ended up searching around and I found instructions to make one. So he made the WHOLE THING! I'm so proud of him! Of course, he couldn't do it without having a little fun too - like with the fringe we cut off the fabric.

TGIF! Camille and I spent the morning with my Mom. Our plan was to go to the MN Zoo, but alas, it was raining a bit too hard for us. So we went to plan B: the MOA. And we even managed to walk around there for an hour and didn't spend ANY money :)
We don't have too much going on this weekend, which I am definitely looking forward to. I'm meeting with another family in the morning. They have a seven month old little girl. Keep me in your prayers!
Here are just a few pictures from the past couple days. The first three are of Camille's first taste of squash. I've decided to make most of her babyfood, and I've already got several zip-lock bags of food frozen into cubes (peaches, nectarines, peas, green beans, squash, carrots, applesauce). I've found that it's not that much work to make, it's WAY cheaper than store-bought babyfood, and I LOVE knowing what's going into Camille's little tummy!

Yummy Toes!
Lately Camille has been absolutely obsessed with her feet! Her feet are up in the air (or in her mouth) more often than they are laying down. It's pretty silly, but she especially likes chewing on the big toe of her left foot.
I'm meeting with a family tonight who is looking for childcare for their four month old daughter. If you could send some prayers my way this evening I'd really appreciate it! I've been waiting for that "just right" family to come along, so hopefully it goes well. Aaron and Camille will be going with me. I hope she's a happy baby!

PS - Is it just me, or does it look like Camille's hair is FINALLY starting to grow?!

Camille and I took a little visit to the MN Zoo this morning. She was quite content to sit in her stroller and chew on her first two fingers of her left hand and watch the scenery. It was pretty crowded, what with summer camp groups and such, but it was much less crowded than it was when we were there for Father's Day. Unfortunately, the grizzly bears were hiding :( But those sea otters sure are fun to watch! She took a ten minute nap in her stroller around 11:30 and is down for an afternoon nap rightnow.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! Keep praying that the right job comes along for me!

Camille had her first taste of "real" food today! She's been really hungry lately and I just don't seem to be able to satisfy her anymore. So we pulled out the box of rice cereal, mixed it up, put her in her highchair, and gave it a shot. SHE LOVED IT! I could not have been more surprised! We even had to make her more TWO TIMES because she kept eating it all. Here's a few pictures from her first meal...
I just wanted to post a few pictures from this morning. Not much else going on here. We've been enjoying a nice light thunderstorm for most of the day now. Camille and I were playing on the floor and Oscar decided to join us. He quickly figured out, though, that her interest in his paw was not for the purpose of petting him, but to try to get it into her mouth! But he was such a good sport and is so wonderful with her. It's really going to be sad when we move in with my parents and he and Olie can't live with us anymore. Camille and Oscar have formed such a sweet connection that I hope can be rekindled once we're all back together again!
Hope you all are having a nice week! I've got to go roll Camille back onto her back before she gets too mad :)

Scrapbook Pages
Here are the scrapbook pages we did today. I'm not quite sure why they turned out squished shorter, they're actually supposed to be square. I just don't have the time to figure it out right now :)
Camille and I spent most of the day at my Aunt Camille's house! We always love going there because Camille gets to spend some quality time with her Auntie Camille and I get to do some scrapbooking :) Unfortunately, my creative juices were not freely flowing today, so I only finished two pages and needed lots of help doing just those. Aunt Camille also did a page for me, and they all turned out beautiful! I'll try to post pictures of them tonight. Aaron cleaned our house on Sunday and I think he hid the camera cord! Right now he's at his monthly elder's meeting.
Tonight we're going to put our Camille's kiddie pool on our patio. It's supposed to be REALLY HOT tomorrow! I hope she likes the water as much as she did on Friday :)
Jenna
p.s. Auntie Megan, we're sorry you got stranded in Roseville. Hopefully by now you are safe in the comforts of your own home :) It's always tiring and stressful when we come upon unexpected adventures, but I hope you have a relatively easy night at work and get some good sleep tomorrow. Here's a picture just for you...
