UPDATE: You can watch Stellan's Story here.
Stellan's story is going to be on the KSTP channel 5 news at 10 tonight (yes, I realize that that's only 12 minutes away). There should also be a web version of it later tonight. I'll post that sometime tomorrow in case anybody is interested. He still needs our prayers!

Sick
"Savior, Please" by Josh Wilson
But I'm just not strong enough
I can't do this alone, God I need You to hold on to me
I try to be good enough
But I'm nothing without Your love
Savior, please keep saving me

Blog Title
I've been trying to think of a new title for our blog. Especially since I've been the only one writing posts. I'm just getting tired of the header saying "the polzin family" and would love something a bit more creative. (Although the web address would have to remain thepolzinfamily.blogspot.com.) So if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments section. I'd love to hear what you can come up with!
Photos & Floodwaters
I haven't posted pictures in a while because it's so very cold here again! And life has been busy lately as well. Camille is doing great, although she had a bit of a rough night last night (woke up four times throughout the night). She did, however, decide to sleep in until nearly 8:30 this morning, which we were all thankful for! She keeps herself busy these days walking around, practicing going up and down stairs, and making us all smile with her crazy antics. I've been busy watching the girls, reminiscing over ER with Megan, and praying for Stellan and others who have been on my heart lately. And both Aaron and I are realizing and appreciating how blessed we are to have a happy, healthy daughter. What a joy she continues to be!
We have also been thinking of and praying for our family in Fargo. We've been getting frequent updates from my aunt Lori on the situation up there, and are praying that God will use His mighty to hold back the floodwaters. Please pray that the dikes and sandbags will hold, and that as many homes as possible will be spared.
Since I don't have any new pictures, I thought I'd post a couple that I took a couple weeks ago when it was much warmer outside. I know some of you (ahem, Megan...) get antsy when I don't post pictures often enough!
Blessings on your weekend!

A Baby Boy Needs PRAYER WARRIORS!
Through my blog-surfing this evening I happened upon this blog... http://www.mycharmingkids.net. I often go blog-surfing, usually by linking through blogs other I already follow. And I don't actually remember the path I took to come upon this blog. The woman who writes it, MckMama, is a mother of four young kids. I read her "Aboug Me" and really resonated with her. She cloth diapers her kids (most of the time), makes sure they eat healthy, makes their babyfood, lives in the Frozen Tundra, and is a photographer. And on top of all this, she is truly a Godly woman. It is evident from every word that she writes that she is filled with faith and love for her Father.
I then began reading her blog, and discovered that her littlest son, four-month-old Stellan, is very sick right now.
So, if you would please, I ask you to pray for him without ceasing. I really feel that God specifically brought me to this blog today because they are in need of more prayer warriors. My heart is aching tonight for this baby boy. Pray for Stellan's complete healing. Pray that his heart will be renewed and strengthened. Pray for a miracle, and believe in your very soul that God will perform a miracle. What is impossible for us is NOT impossible with God!
I encourage you to read this blog and keep this family in your constant prayers. And above all have faith that he can be healed!

It's Official...
Camille has a TOOTH!
That's right, folks, Camille has cut her first tooth! I honestly thought this day would never come. She's been showing signs on and off of teething since she was four months old: drooling, chewing, fussing, runny nose, everything else. But she's been completely normal lately. No drooling. No chewing. No runny nose. No fussing. I haven't even bothered to check for teeth this past week. But just a few minutes (literally, moments ago) ago my Mom announced that she found a tooth! She had been doing her semi-daily tooth check on Camille and was VERY surprised to discover that a tooth had cut through. Hooray for Camille! There's no denying her toddlerhood now (sniffle, sniffle...).

Ah, another warm day!
We tried going to a park today, but found that it was much to wet and muddy. So alas, we ended up taking pictures by the front door again. I'm still enjoying fiddling around with PhotoShop. Enjoy!
PhotoShop Fun!
I've been having fun with PhotoShop with the pictures I took last night. Here's what I've come up with so far...

Spring is just around the corner!
I can feel it in my bones! We finally have a streak of nice and warm weather, so I jumped at the chance to take some pictures of Camille outside this evening. We brought her to JC Penney to have her pictures taken, but she wasn't really cooperating and none of them turned out. Needless to say, I thought I'd give it a try on my own. My major problem with photographing her right now is that she practically refuses to look into the camera! I did manage catch her a couple of times though. And yes, I've included another crying picture. If I remember correctly, she was upset that I made her sit down. No biggie, don't worry!
I think we're going to try to go to a park tomorrow, or maybe the zoo, so I can get some more practice in. I'm still trying to figure out the settings on our new camera. I've decided not to let myself shoot on auto anymore, so I've been trying to fiddle with the manual settings.
On a side note, Camille had her first sleep-over last night! Isabel spent last night and most of today with us while her parents were at a retreat at church. The girls had a great time and Isabel was such a good little guest! We'd be happy to have her over anytime her mommy and daddy need a night off!
Well, that's it for now! Maybe I'll have more pictures for you (yes, you Megan!) tomorrow :)

Happy Birthday To You...
We gave Camille some more chocolate cake tonight after dinner (no frosting this time). The piece started out the size of a baseball, and was nearly gone by the time we sang her "Happy Birthday." I think she's addicted to chocolate cake now! She kept trying to pick up the crumbs, and screamed when I tried to take her tray away. We've created a monster!
One Year Later
Camille had a really great first birthday! We spent the day with Isabel, of course, but were able to go have lunch with Aaron at Noodles. She enjoyed her most favorite meal there, Wisconsin Mac n' Cheese! We had Bible study at church at 6, and before that we went to the soup supper. After eating dinner, Camille dug into the mini chocolate cake my Mom had made for her. She LOVED it! She made a nice little mess of it, right there at church. Everyone had such a great time watching her eat it. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my camera somewhere between Isabel's house and church yesterday, so we weren't able to take any cake pictures! Aaron did get a couple on his phone, so we'll see if we can upload some later.
Before we went to bed last night we were looking at pictures of Camille when she was born (I was putting together a slideshow for her party). It was amazing to see how little she was, and to be able to look at those pictures at exactly the same time she was born (9:32 pm) but one year later. How blessed we are to have such a wonderful daughter!
Thank you for all the birthday wishes! We'll try to get some pictures posted soon!

For our Sweet Camille!
We dreamed of having children for what seems like so long. For years, even before we were married, we would talk about how many children we wanted and what we would name them, never fully believing that the day would ever come. When we found out we were expecting our first baby we were overjoyed. Many questions ran through our heads. Was God really going to entrust us with His very precious child? Would we be good parents? Is it a boy or a girl? What will we name him or her?
When Camille finally arrived on March 4, 2008 at 9:32 PM, our lives were flipped upside down. Things that had mattered before seemed instantly less important. Here was this tiny little girl who completely depended on us and already loved us unconditionally. Over the months that followed we got to know each other more and more. We learned her likes and dislikes. She learned we would be there whenever she needed us.
It's been a year now that her presence has blessed our lives. Sure, we've made some mistakes, and we know we will make more. But we can't help but be thrilled and excited in anticipation of the many more years we will have with her and memories we will make with her. We look forward to watching her grow up into the person God has created her to be.
Our dear, sweet Camille, we want you know just how very much your we love you. What a beautiful blessing you are to us and to everyone who knows you! You have brought us more joy than we ever could have imagined. We pray that you will always know and feel the love that Jesus has for you and the peace that only He can offer! May you grow in His grace and love each and every day of your life!
Love,
Daddy & Mommy
